Bhuvneswari is the Sansrit word which means the creator of the world. Maa Bhuvneswari is the fourth of Dus Mahavidya and is also known as Adi Parashakti. Adi Parashakti is the power behind the Universe. She is the active energy which creates and destroys the entire universe. “SATYLOKA” is located in her forehead, her hair represents universe and Sun and Moon are her eyes. Vedas are her words; death, affections and emotions are her teeth. Moreover, Maya is manifested by her smile. This shows that all the Trimurtis and Tridevis are merely her various forms.

Adiprashakti and Kundalini Shakti, both are found in every human being in inactive form. She is present as soul within us and activated form of God is there as Kundlani Shakti. Kundlani Shakti is basic source of energy in all living beings and meditating on kundlani will bring not only fortune but also control in emotion and maya.
It is believed that she is so powerful that even navagrahas (nine planets) cannot stop her from doing anything she wishes to do.

The Beej mantra for doing sadhna of Maa Bhuvneswari is “Hreem”. In Kamroop Kamakhya, the temple of Bhuvneswari is at the highest peak of Neelgiri hills. It can be reached by walking as well; otherwise local vans are running there up till the temple. Most of the sidha mahatmas do their sadhna in “Ambu Bachi” mela in June every year.

Since, Kamakhya shakti peeth is known for yogini’s siddhi, so this is the best place for Bhuvneswari Sadhna. Bhuvneswari Shadna evokes 64 yogini. The aspirant sadhak having perfected this sadhna is blessed with 64 divine powers from mata. Only through the good karmas of past lives and grace of the Guru, one can obtain Bhuvneshwari Sadhna.

Maa Shodashi is the third Mahavidya who is worshipped by the name of Tripur Sundari, Lalita Tripur Sundari. Her Sadhna is known as SHRI VIDYA SADHNA and Sadhaks are known as SHRI VIDYA SADHAKS. This is a complete vidya in which you get the siddhis of 10 mahavidya, 10 Vishnu Vidya and Aast Shankar Vidya Siddhi. It makes you complete in all aspects of your life’s needs and also in your next life, if you take a re-birth by the karma factor. This is a very detailed Vidya and only a sadguru’s blessing can make it possible for you. You get the Mantra Dikha Panchdasachri(fifteen word mantra) from a well qualified sadguru of Shri Vidya. It will entirely change your personality. You can also find this in few good books of Shri Vidya as well but my humble advice is to not recite it without taking Dikha from Sadguru as it can harm you. There are various methods of doing this sadhna, which are as follows:-

1. By Yog Sadhna, envoking all chakras in your body starting from Muladhar Chakra to Sahastrar Chakra under the guidance of Sadguru, reciting the fifteen word mantra, keeping Sri Chakra Sumeri in front.
2. By Tantra Vidya method
3. Simply by reciting Lalita Sahastranam strota on every Friday, Purnima, Sankranti and Maha Navmi in Navratras.

 

How she looks:

Tripur Sundari combines within herself Kali’s determination and Durga’s charm, grace and complexion. She has a third eye on her forehead which is dusky, red(sindoor colour) golden in colour. She is sitting on lotus which is coming out from Lord Shiva’s Nabhi on a throne upheld by Brahma, Rudra, Vishnu and Issan which is why she is called Panch Pretashanna Arorah. She holds five arrows, a noose, a good and a sugarcane bow. The noose represents attachment, good represents repulsion, sugarcane bow represents the mind and five arrows are five sense objects.

Bala Tripur Sundari is a young unmarried girl known as Kumari. The Indian State of Tripura derives its name from this nine to ten-year old Goddess Tripura Sundari.

My Experience:

I have visited the Tripur Sundari Mandir in Tripura twice. It is a must visit place which is 70 kms from Agartala(capital of Tripura) near Udaipur village, known there as “Mata Bari”. There is no rail route; either you have to go by flight or by road from Assam. There is one state guest house, in front of which there is a lake, surrounded by lush green forest all around the temple. In the lake, there are several tortoise and people offer them bread, biscuits, etc. The shape of main temple is similar to tortoise ane hence, it is called “Kroom Peeth”. This is the best place for doing sadhna as no panda or pujari will bother you. Whatever you want to offer devi, just offer it through the pujari present inside.

I had spent ten days on my each visit along with my friend and sadhak Mr. N.P.Singh. This place is spiritually very vibrant and especially the evening aarti with sound of nagaras and shankh is a treat to watch. It takes almost 45 minutes and pujari do every thing in slow dancing form. It seems like Devi herself is dancing. Very few sadhaks from outside Tripura reach here and we are among the luckiest ones. Those who regularly do the “Sri Vidhya Sadhna” in combination of Yogik Chakra dhyan and Sumeru Sadhna with Panchdasachri mantra, their body starts kaya kalp kriya i.e. you look younger day by day and you get everything which takes care about your livelihood.

Maa Tara

Maa Tara is the second Mahavidya, which very much resemble with Maa Kali, both Devi’s have lollinge tongue and blood oozes from their mouths. The ‘Tara’ can be distinguished from ‘Kali’ by colour of their skin. ‘Kali’ skin is dark black while that of Tara devi is blue in colour. Both have four hands but hold different things in their hands. Tata holds sacrificial sword, skull cup, a lotus and scissors, however Kali never holds a lotus or a pair of scissors.

Tara is worshipped mostly by the Tantrics in cremation ground i.e. ‘samshan’. They believe that Tara is attracted to the bones & skeletons and the cremation ground is her preferred residence. ‘Bamakhepa’ is considered as the biggest bhakt of Maa Tara who resides in the cremation ground and talks to Maa Tara & see her in physical form. Where Maa Tara appears to Bamakhepa, even today you can see the two feet of Maa Tara in Samshan of Tarapeeth in West Bengal near Rampur Ghat almost 105 kms from Calcutta.

My Experience:

I have visited Tarapeeth in West Bengal twice with my Gurubhai from Kamroop Kamakhya Shri Madhukar Ji, who is regular visitor to this peeth. In ancient times, the whole area was 150 acres of cremation ground and the mandir was in the centre of Samshan. The doors of the temples open only when the first dead body arrives for the cremation purpose.

While travelling towards Tarapeeth via Calcutta, I was thinking that it must be a ‘viraan’ place, living conditions must be tough there. But to my utter disbelief once I had reached the Tarapeeth, I saw a lot of hotels (three to four star), lodges, dharamshalas, full fledge markets. The accommodation ranges from Rs 200/- per day to Rs 5000/- per day. The cremation ground shrunk to 2.5 acres of land, where many sadhus, sadhuis, tantrics have made their huts living there permanently. It shows that wherever ‘Tara’ Devi is worshipped regularly that place can be converted from ‘Samshan’ to a place of prosperity.

Different forms of Tara:

There are two forms of Maa tara in Tarapeeth a) fierce form b) motherhood form.

Fierce Form: A three feet metal image, that the devotee normally sees, with fours arms, wearing a garland of skulls and a protruding toungue, crowned with silver crown with long flowing hair. Image wrapped in a saree and decked in red colour Gurhal & dark blue Apragita flower garlands. The forehead of the metal image is adomed with the kumkum. Priests take a pinch of the kumkum and apply it on the foreheads of the devotees as a mark of Tara’s blessings.

Motherhood Form: Once upon a time Guru Vashistha had done tapasya for nearly 10,000 years to appease Goddess ‘Tara’. The Tara pleased with Vashistha and asked him about his desire. Guru Vashista appealed to Tara to appear before him in the form of a mother sukling Lord Shiva on her breast. Tara then incarnated herself in that form and turned into a stone image. This stone image can be seen by the devotees at first aarti performed at 4:00am in the morning only. The devotees collect water from priests, which perform the bathing of Devi with Jal & other things. This jal is very miraculous in many ways.

At Kamakhya: There is no idol of Devi. Devi is in ‘Yoni’ form covered with flowers, all pujas are performed according to the ‘Vamachar’ method using Panch Makar. I have performed Tara puja on Diwali night four years back under my Guru Ji’s guidance by ‘Panchbali’ method for 4 hours from 11:30pm to 2:30pm. It was a memorable night for me.

Buddhist Sadhna: There is a temple of Tara in Tibet also, which is a must visit place of all the Buddha monks from all over the world. The Buddha tantra is very strong tantra, which started with Goddess Tara only.

Why Worship Maa Tara:

By worshiping Tara we get the following benefits such as:

• We get Siddhi i.e. supernatural power


• For getting constant flow of money in any condition, even if you spend money from both hands


• To get unexpected money in large amount from unexpected sources 


• For getting good progress in business in short term


• For getting blessings from maa 'Tara' to have child, those women who can't conceive easily
